One day in the magical mountains seems too short. Here you can choose between sports, nature or some excitement for the children. Whatever you chose it will be a combination of all.
What would Davos be without its mountains. Proud and majestic they reach up into the steel blue sky. More than a dozen of these mighty giants surround Europe’s highest town. A landscape of overpowering beauty – that they almost seem unreal. It is no wonder that every year thousands of holidaymakers visit the region. In winter to ski and in summer to hike, climb or just to enjoy the pure mountain air. Double the fun in this fairy tale landscape.
The most famous mountain is certainly the Weißfluh: in winter it is the hub of the Klosters/Davos skiing area, in summer a wonderful hiking mountain. The Parsennbahn cable car, with its red cabins goes up in two stages to the Weißfluhjoch. From the 2834m peak one has a fantastic panoramic view over almost the whole of the Canton of Graubünden. Other popular skiing and hiking mountains are the Jakobshorn, the Rinerhorn, the Schatzalp, the Pischa and Madrisa.
