Paragliding and Hang-gliding
The flying sites in Davos/Klosters have been a favourite among paragliders and hang-gliders for years. The area is known for its fantastic and reliable thermals in summer and winter as well as for its unique scenery. Various launching sites on the Jakobshorn, in the Parsenn area, on the Schatzalp and on the Gotschna guarantee good launching possibilities whatever the wind direction. Generally speaking the flying conditions are also suitable for beginners. Several flying schools offer a full range of courses for all levels, tandem flights with hang-glider or paraglider.

Rock Climbing
The rock faces around Davos provide the ideal conditions for free climbers. For training and warming up the Seehorn Climbing Park (Klettergarten) can be recommended. It offers various routes and is free of charge, the entrance is in Flüelastraße in Davos Dorf. There is also the „Chlätterparadies Flüelapass“ providing routes at all levels of difficulty. This climbing park is just north of the pass at a height of 2320 metres, less than 10 minutes from the car park on the hiking path. A further tip is the ‘Klettersteig’ in the Madrisa Adventure Park with abseiling and it has more than five various rock climbing points of 12 – 20 metres in height.
In case of bad weather an alternative is the indoor climbing wall in the Tennis and Squash Centre Davos. This climbing centre covers 560 square metres with a total of 50 different routes at all levels of difficulty, including a boulder park.

Adventure Park onMadrisa
A highlight for small as well as big daredevils is the adventure park on sunny Madrisa. It’s only a 20 minute walk from the cable car and is free of charge for ticket holders. The five different sections promise sheer fun and action. For example a waterfall has to be crossed by means of a rope bridge 12 metres long, a climbing tree 8 metres high with a breathtaking view at the top has to be tackled or a fast flowing stream has to be crossed at full speed on a 180 metre long cable. Even free climbers get their money’s worth. There is for example a cave chimney leading to an abseiling point of about 30 metres. In addition there is a climbing park with six different rock climbing points from 12 to 20 metres in height.
Professional equipment is compulsory and guests are taken over the complete parcours by experienced guides.
